Close enough to explore and far enough to escape - Pukehina Beach is 25 km east of Te Puke, 47 km east of Mt Maunganui, and 50 km from Tauranga, 64km north of Rotorua and 63 km west of Whakatane.

A short 15-minute drive will see you enjoying Maketu Beach, home of the famous Maketu Pies - and hop, skip and jump over the hill will take you to Newdicks Beach, which is rugged but fun to explore.
