Mt Hutt ski field is only an hour's drive from Leeston and it has excellent facilities that satisfy the most discerning skiers and snowboarders.

Leeston has that great Kiwiana feel where the kids still play cricket on the road... (well, the quiet roads), horses are still ridden along the grass verge (and occasionally through the subdivisions) and, the learner's pool is still available to the public in the summer.

With quality primary and secondary schools as well as early learning centres, Leeston is a great place to raise your family. The near-new local pub ensures that you're sorted for some great meals or enjoy some Friday night fish 'n chips if you prefer.
