Proud to be in
Ranfurly

Welcome to

As the farming centre of the Maniototo, Ranfurly is an essential town in Otago; its Sheep and Beef products keep the country moving, whilst also just being a beautiful spot in Otago.

Ranfurly has adventures to get involved with year-round. With a glorious winter landscape, all you need is to pop on merino wool layers and enjoy the hoar frost. In Autumn, you can enjoy a blaze of colour in the area when exploring. Spring and summer are hot, but it takes your breath away when riding over the alpine tussocks, admiring the Otago region.

If you visit and wonder why Ranfurly is so exceptionally beautiful, so beautiful, it could be a film set? Well, the nearby Ida Valley functioned as one of the locations for Peter Jackson's 2001–2003 Lord of the Rings film trilogy, representing the vast plains of Rohan. The locals know they have found beauty and are proud to call Ranfurly home.

I’ve been lovingly refreshed, updated where it counts, and now I’m waiting for my new family who’ll fill my rooms with laughter, muddy boots at the door, and warm evenings by the fire. Step inside and you’ll find easy open plan living wrapped around a brand new kitchen, fresh lino and carpet, and the comfort of a large Woodsman fire that makes winter in Central Otago something to look forward to. But it’s not just about looks — the big-ticket jobs are done too. A new roof, upgraded plumbing and electrics, double glazed aluminum joinery, and gas hot water mean you can simply move in and start making memories. Outside, the section is fully fenced, wonderfully private, and there’s a storage shed ready for tools, bikes, and weekend projects. Whether you’re starting out, slowing down, or investing in a smart future, this home is ready to welcome you. Come and meet your new home – call Rachel to arrange a viewing.
