Te Kuiti

Welcome to

Te Kūiti is the sheep shearing capital of the world...yes, it's a lofty claim for this small town, but as you spend some time there, you'll realise just how true it is! Te Kūiti is also home to the champion sheerer, Sir David Fagan, among many others! A huge statue of a shearer (apparently based on another local shearing legend Godfrey Bowen) greets you as you enter this beautiful town and bears testament to the significance of its proud shearing history.

Also home of world-famous all black rugby legend, the late Sir Colin Meads, they have his statue proudly standing in the main street to commemorate the great man.

Te Kūiti is the business hub of the King Country with a full range of trading banks, sale yards, freezing works sawmills and a public hospital.

This classic provincial kiwi town is where you'll still find people stopping to greet each other in the main street.

Nestled on half an acre of beautifully maintained, long-established gardens, this peaceful and private Te Kuiti home offers an exceptional lifestyle. Located up a lengthy driveway at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and surrounded by farmland, the property provides a tranquil retreat while remaining just minutes away from Te Kuiti shops, supermarkets, hospital, and medical centre. Truly, it is a slice of paradise, delivering the sought-after combination of privacy and convenience. When it comes to property, the three most important aspects are location, location, and location - and this home has them all. The setting backs onto farmland and being at the end of the cul-de-sac ensures there are no passers-by. The house features three bedrooms: two spacious doubles and one single, plus an extra space currently used as a fourth, extra-large bedroom. The bathroom includes a shower, with a separate toilet for added convenience. The kitchen is well-equipped, including a dishwasher, and the lounge is comfortable and inviting. A new Coloursteel roof was installed a few years ago, complete with a 30-year guarantee. The lounge boasts a heat pump in addition to the existing wood burner, ensuring warmth and comfort throughout the year. Insulation has been added both above and below, and the house has recently been painted throughout. One of the highlights of this home is the view from the lounge ranch slider windows, offering complete privacy with a stunning vista of trees adorned in all the colours of the rainbow, and amazing changes occur season to season. There is no concern of neighbours peering in; the outlook is peaceful and secluded. The property also includes a very large deck, a double garage with a remote door and extra workspace area, a chicken coop, and an abundance of fruit trees (1 yellow plum, 2 red plums, 3 lemon trees, 1 gala apple, 1 cooking apple, 1 other apple, 1 pear tree, 1 quince, 1 grapevine, 1 persimmon, 2 nectarines and 1 guava).
