Welcome to

Levin offers many great lifestyle choices and has all the benefits of living in a town without the price ticket of a big city! Being right on the coast means you have many beaches to choose from and a multitude of great fishing spots to call your own. If living the kiwi dream sounds like you, Levin has an abundance of affordable lifestyle properties where your family could experience the country lifestyle without the hassles of farming. Levin is central to a thriving market garden industry giving you year-round access to the freshest produce at wholesale prices.

With the Tararua Mountain Ranges and beaches framing both sides of Levin – the opportunities for adventure are endless. The Tararuas boasts many walks and hikes for all levels of fitness, and the Lake Papaitonga walk has great historical significance to locals.

Levin, is the largest town in Horowhenua, and is less than 100 kilometres from Palmerston North, Whanganui, Porirua, and Wellington. The township lies in a tract south of the lower Manawatū River and north of the beautiful Ōhau River. Levin features a thriving clothing industry and is known for its factory outlet stores.

Along with several historic buildings, including the Property Brokers c1908 office, dot Levin's streets as treasured landmarks.

The town was to be called Taitoko for the father of Muaūpoko tribe leader, Keepa Te Rangihiwinui but ended up being named "Levin" after railway company director, W. H. Levin. Many of the streets are named after Māori members of Parliament.

The Māori presence was never lost and is evident today in the Muaūpoko and Ngāti Raukawa meeting houses at Kōputaroa, Muhunoa, Kuku, Kawiu, Hokio and Poroutawhao, where Te Rangihaeata is buried.

Levin became, and remains, the destination of choice for people wanting city convenience with country living.

Located in a newly developed area, this property strikes a rare balance between peaceful country living and easy access to Foxton’s shops, schools, cafés and community. The 108m2 (approx.) residential barn celebrates basic living with a little bit of quirky charm. Practical, versatile and full of character, the space is divided into four key areas: - A shower room and toilet - Kitchenette with laundry facilities - Insulated and lined living areas for year-round comfort - A converted caravan that creates a cosy and character-filled bedroom The barn also incorporates a generous workshop and garage with space for two vehicles. From the lounge, ranch sliders open into a fully enclosed ‘catio’ — a unique feature that could easily be reimagined as an outdoor living nook, creative space or relaxed entertaining area. Adding to the functionality is a 40-foot container with a 2.7m stud, currently used for storage and workshop overflow. This adaptable space lends itself perfectly to a man cave, bar, studio or secure storage for tools and toys. With services and septic already in place, the groundwork has been done — whether you choose to enjoy the current setup or plan ahead for a future build. The land’s gentle contour provides an ideal platform for a new home designed to capture the surrounding views. This is not your standard lifestyle property — it’s rustic, relaxed and refreshingly different. A chance to embrace basic living, add your own flair, and create a lifestyle that’s truly your own. Covenants apply.
