About Courtney

Courtney has spent his working life in the Thoroughbred Industry running the family Stud – Ainsley Downs, where they have bred and produced many Stakes performing horses, including dual Horse of the Year Mongolian Khan. With a long involvement with Equestrian Sport, he served three terms on the ESNZ Eventing Board and was Chair of Richfields International Eventing for 11 years. Courtney was also manager of the NZ Show Jumping Team to compete in Inner Mongolia. In a marketing and promotional role he fronted Trade Shows in the Hague (World Equestrian Games) and the Malaysian National Horse Show for the NZ Sport Horse Promotion Board. Courtney is currently in his 4th term on the Te Kauwhata Community Board, and has previously coached the Te Kauwhata Senior Rugby Team for eight years before going on to coach at Counties Provincial level. He started his Real Estate career in 2008 (Century 21) and transferred to Property Brokers in 2022. The rural team ethos and strong ‘family’ values the company has sits well with him.
