Terms & Conditions:

Submission criteria:

- Submit their entry (or nomination) and photo online during the promotional period (4th November – 13th December 2024). Entries close 9 am, Friday, 13th December 2024.

- Include in their entry how they (or the person they are nominating) contribute to their community and do the little things that make a difference.

- Be over 18 years of age and a current named tenant of a Property Brokers managed tenancy

- Have a tenancy which will continue to at least 31st January 2025.

- Be up to date with their rent payments.

- Have a history of positively meeting their tenancy obligations.

- Accept that for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes, the judges' decision is final, and for People's Choice Award, the application with the most public votes is the prize winner.

- If successful, be able to claim their prize within five working days from their local Property Brokers branch, or the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner selected.

- Accept that by entering, they are giving expressed agreement to have their name, photo and residing city or town published for promotional purposes.

The fine print:

• The promotional period runs from Monday, 4th November to Friday, 13th December 2024. The competition closes at 9 am on Friday 13th December, to allow winners to be selected and prizes to be issued prior to Christmas.
• Entries submitted during the promotional period will be eligible for consideration as an entry in the Top Tenant of 2024 competition. 
• There is a combined $2,000 prize pool – made up of 4 cash-equivalent prepaid Mastercard gift cards to the following values – supreme winner $1,000, first runner-up $500, second runner-up $250 and People's Choice Award $250. The gift cards can be used like cash wherever merchants accept Mastercard payment. 
• The Top Tenant of 2024 Competition is open to all Property Brokers tenants currently residing within provincial New Zealand, where Property Brokers operates. 
• The property must be currently managed by Property Brokers, with an active tenancy during the promotional period (4th November – 13th December 2024) and beyond, through to at least 31st January 2025. Any applicant with a tenancy end date preceding 1st February 2025 will be ineligible for the prize pool. 
• All people submitting entries must be over 18 years of age.
• Entries, including photos, can be submitted at any time during the promotional period, online using our competition entry form www.propertybrokers.co.nz/toptenant-nominees 
• Entries for the Top Tenant of 2024 Competition must meet the submission criteria to progress further and be eligible to receive a prize. 
• The supplied photo and a brief recap of the supporting statement for approved entries will be visible in a photo gallery on our website and national Facebook page www.Facebook.com/PropertyBrokers. Entries will then be eligible for the 'People's Choice Award' by public voting until the end of the promotional period.   
• The entry that receives the most public votes during the promotional period will be awarded the Top Tenant of 2024 Competition People's Choice Award if all entry criteria are met and receive the $250 prepaid Mastercard gift card.
• The supreme winner, first runner-up, and second runner-up will be chosen by Property Brokers judging panel, and their decision will be final. 
• It is possible that the People's Choice recipient may also, by coincidence, be judged as one of the Top 3 prize recipients.
• All entrants, by way of submitting a photo and completing the online competition entry form, are deemed to accept all associated terms and conditions of the Top Tenant of 2024 competition. 
• The Top Tenant of 2024 Competition is open to the public only. Property Brokers employees, and their spouses, children, stepchildren, and any members of the employee's immediate household are prohibited from entering. 

Competition judging and prizes:

• Three winners will be selected by a judging panel and displayed on the Property Brokers website and Property Management EDMs.
• The People's Choice Award winner will be selected by public voting during the promotional period.
• The supreme winner will win a $1000 Mastercard Pre-paid Gift and will have their image appear on the website as well as Property Management EDM.
• The People's Choice Award winner (who receives the most public votes during the promotional period) will win a $250 Mastercard Pre-paid Gift Card, and their image will be used on the website as well as Property Management EDM's.
• The second runner-up will win a $500 Mastercard Pre-paid Gift Card, and the third runner-up will win a $250 Mastercard Pre-paid Gift Card, and their respective images will be used on the website as well as Property Management EDMs.
• The winners will be notified by telephone or email. The inability to contact the winner within five working days of selection will result in the prize being forfeited. An alternative finalist entry will be selected to receive the prize, and their image will be used on the website as well as Property Management EDMs.
• The judging panel's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. 
• The prizes are not exchangeable or transferable except as expressly stated.
• The prizes are subject to availability and may differ from the prizes specified. If the exact prize is not available, a prize of a similar value and specification will be awarded instead.
• All winners must be available to collect the prize from their local Property Brokers branch.
• Prior to receiving the prizes, the winners may be required to show proof of identity, for example, their passport or driver's license.
• The winner's consent to their name, city/town of residence, and photo being used for public relations (PR) purposes relating to this promotion in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration.
• Property Brokers reserves the right to cancel or amend any aspect of these terms and the Top Tenant of 2024 Competition at any time, including substituting prizes.
• Property Brokers reserves the right to block or remove entries at its own discretion, without explanation. 

Other:

• Property Brokers accepts no responsibility for entries lost in the online submission process or going astray.
• Failure to adequately fill out the online competition entry form and submit a photo will result in it not being accepted into the Property Brokers Top Tenant of 2024 Competition.
• Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, Property Brokers and its suppliers exclude all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special, or consequential, arising in any way out of the submission of photos in the PB Top Tenant of 2024 Competition and any prizes received.
• Property Brokers collects and holds participants' personal information solely for the purpose of receiving and using photos and conducting the Property Brokers Top Tenant of 2024 Competition and will only use or disclose personal information in connection with this.

Consent:

• Any persons photographed must have given consent to be photographed, and the appropriate written consent documentation completed in full and provided to Property Brokers on request. Any persons photographed who are under the age of 18 must have the appropriate written consent documentation completed in full by their parent/guardian and provided to Property Brokers on request.
• Any property photographed must have the consent of the property owner and the appropriate written consent documentation completed in full and provided to Property Brokers on request. Property that is unidentifiable in the photo (e.g., an extreme close-up or an aerial view of many properties) does not require consent. Photographs taken of public property do not require consent, but an address may be requested. Property Brokers reserve the right to establish whether consent is required.
• Failure to provide documentation of consent for photographed persons or property will deem the photo ineligible for submission to Property Brokers for use, including as an entrant into the Property Brokers Top Tenant of 2024 Competition.
• All photos may be used by Property Brokers in other promotional material. The photographer gives their expressed permission for all photos to be used now or in the future by Property Brokers.
