About Stanella
Originally from Pātea, a small town in South Taranaki made famous by the iconic song Poi E, I began my working life at the age of 14 in a local café. This experience marked the beginning of a five-year journey in the hospitality industry, where I held a range of sole-charge and management positions.
After studying photography at Taranaki Polytech, I moved into retail, working in a photography store before relocating to Palmerston North. There, I worked in a photo lab, and later entered the liquor retail sector. Starting as a customer service officer, I progressed through several roles including duty manager, office assistant, office manager, and 2IC, ultimately becoming store manager by the age of 24.
After a few years in temporary administrative roles which better suited my young family, I entered the property management industry in 2010, starting as a receptionist/administrator. A return to Taranaki led me to gain valuable experience in the banking sector, but my passion for property management soon drew me back. I began as an inspection assistant and was quickly promoted to Property Manager, then Senior Property Manager. I later joined another property management company, starting as an administrator and again rising to the role of Senior Property Manager.
Upon returning to Palmerston North, I continued to grow professionally, taking on roles including Property Manager, Property Management Trainer, Training Manager, and Team Leader. These positions have equipped me with a comprehensive and versatile skill set.
I bring over 15 years of experience in property management, beginning in 2010 as a receptionist and progressing through a variety of leadership roles. I’m known for my strong work ethic, attention to detail, and genuine passion for the industry. I take pride in delivering high-quality service, always acting in the best interests of property owners and in full compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act.
In addition to my professional experience, I’m also a property investor, with two investment properties in Hāwera, Taranaki, and have recently purchased my own home in Palmerston North.
Outside of work, I’m a proud mum to two daughters—my eldest has just bought her first home, and my youngest is in her final year of high school. We enjoy spending time with our whānau in Taranaki, relaxing at the beach, and attending live music gigs and festivals.
