About Angus
Angus — known to most people as Gilby — has spent most of his life in farming and rural communities. He began his working career as a shepherd and casual musterer, spending more than 10 years across the lower North Island, including Masterton, Hunterville, Taihape and Gisborne.
In 1998, Gilby settled at Tapuae, a 600-hectare property in the Waituna West district, north of Feilding. This hands-on experience has given him a strong understanding of the land, the lifestyle, and the people who make rural communities thrive.
Gilby is married to Sarah, and together they have three teenage children. Outside of work, he is often found supporting his children from the sidelines at sports fields. When time allows, he also enjoys the occasional game of golf and a bit of hunting
When it comes to buying and selling rural and lifestyle properties, Gilby brings a genuine first-hand perspective. He has worked on the land, lived the lifestyle and understands that every property is different. He knows what helps a farm or lifestyle block stand out, what buyers are looking for as well as the realities that come with owning and running rural property.
Gilby takes an open, honest, and straightforward approach to real estate. He gives clear advice, tells it as it is, and works hard to achieve the best possible result for his clients. His long-standing connection with rural communities gives him valuable insight into what matters most when selling a property.
