There is no question that commodity prices and cost challenges, particularly interest rates, have significantly impacted our sheep and beef producers’ growth aspirations this year and moderated demand. However, we have continued to successfully take properties through campaigns, particularly auctions, and see them sold both North and South Island at levels acceptable to vendors and aligned to current interest rate settings as recently as last month.
A real highlight of the last 12 months is our conviction to bring to the market rural properties less than 100 ha in size, where the weight of money to complete a purchase is much more within the reach of many.
