With over 30 years’ experience and $500m in transactions, Alan is Property Brokers’ top commercial agent, combining banking, development, and sales expertise with a community-minded approach that delivers outstanding results for clients across New Zealand.
Alan’s career blends deep financial knowledge with hands-on property expertise. Born and raised in New Plymouth, he began in banking, working for the National Bank as a mobile mortgage manager and later managing several branches.
When asked to establish an in-house finance division for one of New Zealand’s largest real estate companies, he built a team of brokers from the ground up - his first step into the property world.

From there, Alan moved into private property development, managing the sell-down of large-scale projects with major success. He later shifted gears to establish a riding pony stud in the Waikato, before returning to his true calling - property. Since then, he’s developed and transacted properties for himself and achieved outstanding results for clients.
With over 30 years’ experience and more than $500 million in real estate transactions, Alan is known for exceeding targets and expectations. As a top-performing commercial agent in New Zealand for several years running, he now leads a high-performing sales team from our Cambridge office.
Alan’s approach combines strategic insight with genuine commitment. His background in banking and development means he understands every angle of a deal - from financing and feasibility through to negotiation and settlement.
Outside of work, Alan’s passions include his family and his riding pony stud. As a founding member and President of the NZ Show Horse Council, he’s deeply involved in equestrian sport and gives back to the Cambridge community, supporting many local organisations with his time and energy.
