Malcolm and his wife Marys' love of the land led to a stint dairy farming at Midhurst, followed by 18 years at Ohura developing a sheep and cattle property along with several seasons shearing. They then returned to their home turf, purchasing a finishing block at Warea, around the coast near Okato.
