Sonia Booth has been with Hastings McLeod since 1992. In that time, she has worked in a number of offices and taken on various roles within the Company.
Born in Invercargill, Sonia grew up in Waimate and following secondary school, was employed at the local Hasting’s McLeod branch as an office junior. Following this, she worked in the Timaru branch before moving to Canterbury and working out of the Ashburton branch.
Over the years, Sonia has progressed in the ranks, and has previously been in charge of overseeing the administration team in all South Island offices in the capacity of Office Manager. Sonia has previously served as Group Administrator for the New Zealand Realtors Association- a group made up of 18 independent companies with approximately 150+ offices spanning New Zealand wide. This was a role which she thoroughly enjoyed.

An avid sportswoman, Sonia has played representative Netball and Basketball for a number of districts, and received numerous accolades in Athletics – including selection to represent New Zealand in the Pan Pacific Games in Australia.
Loving all aspects of sport, she has coached representative age group basketball and netball teams and is currently enjoying coaching her daughter’s netball team.
Sonia lives with her husband Rodney, farming a 1000 acre sheep and beef property near Hororata. They have two children, Hannah and Blake.
In her spare time she enjoys gardening, camping and most outdoor activities, and is actively involved in a number of local groups and Committees including the Hororata School PTA and the South Malvern Netball Club to name a few.
