Property Brokers are proud to continue the Hastings McLeod legacy throughout Canterbury and add their ethos to provincial New Zealand.

Established in 1974 by Colin McLeod and John Hastings in Ashburton the Hastings McLeod brand is synonymous with real estate in Mid Canterbury.  After the untimely death of Colin, Paul Cunneen stepped up to a management role and after over 30 years with Hastings McLeod remains in our Property Brokers office today.  Having worked for a long time with fellow Hastings McLeod directors Chris Murdoch and Hamish Niles  Property Brokers are delighted to have all three still running the cutter in Ashburton.  True leaders in real estate they bring a wealth of experience and a huge amount of success to our Property Brokers Canterbury business.
Hastings McLeod joined Property Brokers as a franchise in 2010 during a period of expansion for both firms.  Property Brokers had not franchised before but it made so much sense as the two organisations values, cultures and goals aligned so much it was a match made in heaven.  Hastings McLeod expanded through South Canterbury and into Northern Otago and another two iconic firms on the West Coast joined them in EV Arthur in Greymouth and Buller Real Estate in Westport to take them to 11 offices in the central South Island.  In 2019 the directors decided that for the good of the business and their people that they should sell to Property Brokers to further connect the True Team Guarantee and National presence.
With a rural team that is second to none and a residential business that dominates the market, Property Brokers is your first choice in all facets of real estate and proud that the service and values that Hastings McLeod provided over the past 45 years are still alive and well in Property Brokers Country.
