Steve originally came to New Zealand with his family in January 2017, bringing his South Island Wife home with their young children. He began his NZ working career by ticking off the requisite stereotypical temp jobs, firstly wrangling thistle magnets on a sheep farm (he is a natural with livestock, apparently) and followed that up with a stint in a local brewery. The first full-time job was working as a Property Manager for Farmlands which then merged with Property Brokers, and he has now made the move into Real Estate in February 2021.
Back in the UK, Steve was a successful Recruiter and Business Owner, running a small business turning houses around for Investors after dubious tenants had left them in a less than desirable condition. Steve originally started his career, though, working in Customer Service roles, dealing with, and solving problems by making sure that he understood the issues and identifying solutions.
Steve has always believed that good sales work is based on getting that proper comprehension of a client’s requirements, and then working with them to clarify their goals and ambitions.

This approach led to longevity of clients, repeat business and referrals. Getting everyone pulling in the same direction will deliver the best results for his clients.
Outside of Real Estate, Steve has been and is involved in local sporting and educational groups, having been a governor for a local Kindergarten, helping at his kid’s school, and ruining any chance of a future sporting career for his children by coaching them in their various sporting activities. Steve is also the current Club Secretary for Timaru Golf Club.
