About Brett

After a very successful career in rural banking, Brett has established himself as a leader in the marketing and sale of rural property in Southland. In real estate since 1999, Brett’s referral network and his relationship with rural professionals and clients alike is second to none. With a very wide and in depth knowledge of the greater Southland province, Brett prides himself on providing down to earth honest advice to clients and takes a long-term view with his client relationships. He has been working with many of the same client families for over two decades. Away from work, Brett has had numerous farm and business directorships over many years is a keen golfer, and enjoys watching his three adult children in their sporting and social endeavors. He lives on a smallholding just out of Invercargill with his wife Narie. Brett has an Agricultural Science (Hons 1) degree from Lincoln University, a National Diploma in Real Estate, and is an associate member of the Real Estate Institute (AREINZ).

I first met and dealt with Brett and his team in March 2020 when the Native Forest Restoration Trust was purchasing the 80 ha Oreti Totara Dunes block in Otatara. We found Brett to be effective and professional to deal with. Subsequently, we chose Brett to market the 7 residential lots in the small subdivision NFRT has developed along the Oreti Rd frontage. These sales are important to help fund the purchase and restoration of a very important ecological area. He was big on teamwork, local support and wider networking.
