Ian Walsh serves as Chief Executive Officer of Property Brokers South Island. Since 2008 his role has included the overseeing and delivery of the company’s strategy and business expansion and daily running of operations from Rangiora to Oamaru and across the West Coast.
Raised on an orchard and market gardening property on the outskirts of Christchurch, Ian attended Lincoln University where he completed an Agricultural Science degree.
Ian’s professional experience includes spending 12 years with BNZ. He was originally a rural and branch manager and then later progressed into the corporate leadership team through time as the East Coast Regional Manager and then as head of Business Lending on the West Coast. In 2000 he moved to Auckland with BNZ and deservingly earned the role of General Manager for AgriBusiness. By serving on the General Management Team, Ian was one of twelve responsible for leading the overall bank strategy.
Ian has found the change from corporate banking to the real estate industry enjoyable. He feels the true advantage for clients are the people who make up the Property Brokers’ team.

Ian enjoys numerous outdoor activities and has even participated in the Coast-to-Coast. In his spare time he enjoys being a father of two and running his lifestyle block.
