David Scapens

In partnership with Jason Whitaker, David has excelled in real estate being Property Brokers National Rookie of the Year (2008) and top selling agent for the past 8 years, selling on average over 100 properties per year.

Joining Jason in 2008, together they are a dynamic team, bringing extensive industry and market knowledge with new innovative marketing methods achieving outstanding results.  Selling more properties allows Jason and David to come into contact with more buyers which ultimately helps create buyer competition through multiple interest and a premium price for the seller.

They now enjoy over 95% repeat and referral business having fun with their new clients along the way.

David and Jason do not rest on their real estate laurels.  They treat every new client like no other, striving not only for a successful outcome but as an advocate of their business for life.  Their attention to detail and meticulous planning leads to winning results time and time again.  Assisting this process is their full time personal assistant of 9 years, which allows them to focus more time on their clients.  Through the “Power of 3” you are not only employing 3 skilled operators for the price of 1 but a wealth of experience where nothing is too much trouble.

David and Jason work very closely with investors including the Hawke’s Bay Property Investors Association and have written articles for the NZ Property Investor Magazine.  They have rental properties themselves and understand the “nuts and bolts” of how it all works.  Each week they send out an investor newsletter detailing suitable investment properties.  This goes out to over 500 investors, most local but some as far afield as the UK, Singapore, Vietnam and Australia.  This in conjunction with a weekly new listing letter sent out to over 400 active home buyers.  These systems along with their full time personal assistant allow them to achieve these fantastic results year in and year out.

David is a balanced all-rounder.  He enjoys family life with his wife Jackie and two children, Tessa and John and also finds time to walk the family dog “Brownie”.  David’s trade and corporate back ground has enabled him to work with people from all walks of life.  David has a warm personality and sense of humour and loves nothing more than the challenge of “getting a tricky deal together”.
