Property Brokers Company Day an enormous success

Property Brokers annual training day an unqualified success as guest speaker Tom Panos takes people on a journey through his interesting career path.

Thursday the 20th of June saw the North Island component of Property Brokers assemble for Company day at the Awapuni Events Centre. This annual event is an opportunity for the company to learn and develop as well as foster the culture the company has always enjoyed across geographical borders.

This years speaker was Tom Panos. International regarded Tom is Real Estate Advertising Director for News Ltd and highly regarded as an expert in house price maximisation and a leader in real estate education.  Tom ran two training topics throughout the day focusing on various aspects of the sales process.  A modern day trainer who focuses on real world issues for consumers and salespeople alike he was very well received by the audience.

“I thought he was the best trainer I’ve seen. Real and modern and walking the walk rather than just doing a speech”-Shelley Naylor, Palmerston North.

Other highlights were hearing from Paul Roache about the conference training at AREC in Australia’s Gold Coast. AREC is Australasia’s leading real estate conference and Paul shared many of the ideas and topics expressed during his time in attendance.  Marketing Manager Guy Mordaunt gave the company a sneak peak at the company’s new web site which is being launched on the 1st of August 2013. The company’s Top 20 was announced and the premium performers of 2012/13 received their awards in front of their peers.

There was also a change announced to the Top 20 process. “Traditionally the company has recognised the Top 25 within the organisation,” said Managing Director Mike Helleur”.  “With so many agents performing at such a high level we wanted to ensure that our elite group was recognised for the outstanding contribution to the company.  From this year it will be the Top 20 companywide and we will be celebrating by taking them and their partners away to an outstanding part of New Zealand.  We are going to use this as an excuse to explore some of this amazing country of ours.”

The company also heard from South Island CEO Ian Walsh, Regional Manager Paul Whitaker, was introduced to the entire support centre and Hannah Samuel finished off with an entertaining look at motivation.

The final word of the day was left to Tim Mordaunt. Tim spoke about the importance of culture and how the heart and soul of Property Brokers is what sets it apart from other organisations. His reference to the loyalty of staff, the fact that they look after each other as well as have a lot of fun seemed to strike a resounding cord with the audience.

As always education was finished with fun and a gala dinner followed with music dancing and one or two beverages provided an entertaining finale to a very successful day.
