The Property Brokers' real estate office was opened in mid 1987 with four staff. It was a specialist real estate office not aligned to any of the stock firms, which was the norm for the time.

The original office was absorbed into the Property Brokers Limited mantle in 1998 as a branch, and has a current staff of nine people with one part-time person. The office is located centrally in the main street of Waipukurau in a 90 year old character building.

The main focus of activity for the Central Hawke's Bay staff is rural, lifestyle and residential properties with growing emphasis on coastal properties, commercial and rental property management.

Property Brokers prides itself on backing the community. They are proud sponsors of the Waipawa Bowling Club, the Ross Shield Rugby Team, the Waipukurau Golf Club, AW Parsons Stadium and support local schools. The individuals in our team are associated with the Waipawa Fire Brigade, Central Hawke's Bay Country Music Club, (both locally and internationally), the Waipukurau Golf Club, Weta (we encourage the arts), Smedley Old Boys Association, Takapau Junior Rugby, British Car Club, RSA and the Model T Ford Club of NZ and support many local activities throughout the area.
